there's always a market for a nice DAC. There're still lots of people
out there with non digital amps.
One fine day, when Slimdevices creates a Squeezebox with optional DAC,
that's the day when we know Digital Amps have reached mainstream. 
Look at the preamps 20 years ago, they all came with phono inputs for
cartridges, now only very niche companies have preamps with integrated
phono inputs, most of the companies have junked out the phono inputs to
reduce cost because the turntable crowd just was not sizeable enough.
I'm sure it will be the same trend for CD/DVD players in the future,
the DAC component will be junked out to cut costs when digital amps
have pervaded most households.

Right now, you're paying (SB3) for something you don't use (DAC
circuit).
