Jetlag, I have the same model as yours (HB5-3/OVP-A). From what I've gathered here, some came with the varistor and some doesn't.
I went to Fry's Electronic today and pick up an aluminum chassis since you had made fun of my previous chassis. It was a prototype :-). Anyway, thanks so much for your help.
