I bought the VIA Epia-N 8000E. It comes with an 800mhz processor embedded into the board. As for the board pictures, I took them with the heatsink mounted. The entire board is basically covered by a heatsink. As for the question about Windows XP. I am sure it will work, but you might want to up the memory to more than 512mb. I have had Windows XP running on a 900mhz processor from VIA, but for this project the 800mhz processor feels really at home with the endlessly customizable GNU/Linux operating system. I really am enjoying this setup. I don't hear a thing from the server now that I have set this up. It's funny. I didn't even know the machine was on until I turned on the monitor and saw that it was indeed running. -- bullethead ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bullethead's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4803 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22816 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
