outside of potential differences in sound quality btwn CD-P and SB3, I'll bet that once you've finished ripping and can put those discs away forever and have on-demand access to your complete music library, diced or sliced in any organization you like, you'll never go back to finding/inserting/replacing CDs.
but also, it seems many people that have compared CD players to the SB have said the SB compares very favorably - i.e. only a marginal difference, or not sure there's any difference at all (see the latest stereophile enewsletter review). I imagine a super-high-end, expensive CD player/transport may sound better, but pls refer to point 1 above.... You. Will. Never. Go. Back. It's that good. -- joncourage ------------------------------------------------------------------------ joncourage's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2837 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22964 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
