Physics rules here, you can't get real bass from a 6 inch speaker and that is about all monitors have. The Rels and a few others lines have much better WAF than the big all black ones that are popular. The REL is also more expensive, such is how WAF works. > Do you use a digital or analogue feed to your amp? My squeezeBoxen are SB1 vintage. In my main system, I feed a Benchmark DAC-1 from the digital out, and then use balanced XLR connectors to the Classe with Cardas wiring to the Sonus Fabers. I wanted the Benchmark for my recording studio, but liked it so much it never made it into the studio. I've not tried an SB2 or SB3 there is a chance I would skip the Benchmark and spend the grand on a couple of nice dinners for the wife to improve the WAF that way. -- Pat http://www.pfarrell.com/music/slimserver/slimsoftware.html _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
