Physics rules here, you can't get real bass from a 6 inch speaker
and that is about all monitors have.

The Rels and a few others lines have much better WAF than the
big all black ones that are popular. The REL is also more
expensive, such is how WAF works.

My squeezeBoxen are SB1 vintage. In my main system, I feed
a Benchmark DAC-1 from the digital out, and then use balanced
XLR connectors to the Classe with Cardas wiring to the Sonus Fabers.

I wanted the Benchmark for my recording studio, but liked it so much
it never made it into the studio. I've not tried an SB2 or SB3
there is a chance I would skip the Benchmark and spend the grand
on a couple of nice dinners for the wife to improve the WAF that
way.
