Not to threadjack anything but I'm using a pair of Beolab 8000 (http://tinyurl.com/p3ecs) with my SB3. Works great, the SB3 is connected directly to the speakers and they turn on/off automatically. I've actually put my Beosound 9000 up for sale, only using the SB3 now :-)
