The Lavry is a great piece of kit... quite versatile for my use since I can drive my K340's [high impedance] out of the balanced outputs and my Grado HF-1's [low impredance] out of the headphone output. The volume control is great sonically, but a bit of a pain to use... I don't mind much though as I tend to listen at around the same volume most of the time anyways. The DAC in it is very transparent and smooth. I find it more detailed than the DAC1, but it's not the bright knock you over the head type of detail that you get with the Benchmark.
