I recently bought an SB1 on Ebay and discovered something that may well be obvious to many of you. If I rip a CD to a (lossy) 128Kb/sec mp3 and play it through the SB it sounds significantly better than the original CD played through my rather old low-end Yamaha CD player using the same amp and speakers. I guess the DACs in the SB1 are streets ahead of those in the Yamaha.
Which leads me to the question - How do the DACs in the SB1 compare to those in the SB2/3 ?
