Hi all, Someone asked me to report my results on the linear supply, so here's that feedback.
I finally finished my linear PS a few weeks ago, and am thoroughly enjoying it. The hum/noise problem is completely gone, regardless of where I plug in the new PS (same powerstrip as hi-fi or otherwise). The overall sonic character of the SB3 seems to have changed, too, improving every aspect of the device's sound. (I'm using the stock analog outs). Low end extension & clarity, top end smoothed out, and more natural, transparent, musical sound overall. I attached a few pics.
