Hi, I am new to the world of squeezebox. I just hope I have found this earlier. I was trying to use an external USB sound card (M-Audio) to connect laptop to DAC. That solution is not only ugly but the sound quality is also no way to match a good (Theta Data II) transport.
I found this site the day before and feel this is the solution I have been looking for for years. How can I missed this.... BTW, at this time, I plan to use coax cable to connect SB3 to an external DAC. My question is, do I really need to mod it? Which kind of mod do you recommend? Someone also mentioned that Slimdevices is developing a high-end model for audiophiles. Do you have idea when would they announce it? I can wait up to 3 months. Thanks for help!
