Greetings from Denmark. I've just bought myself a brand new SB3 unit. I've barely played with it yet and I'm already planning to get it upgraded by Vinnie at RWA. However, I'm not going for the complete package with battery power supply and what not. I'm sticking with the basic 1-5 step modification (better burr brown converter, rca jacks etc.).
Here's my current audio setup: Marantz PM 17 MK2 M (soon to be replaced by Musical Fidelity KW500) Marantz CD17 MK3 (maybe completly replaced by SB3?!) Aurum Cantus Melody 103 (ribbon) Signal Cable Silver Reference interconnects and speakercable. As you can see I'm planning to upgrade my amp very soon. The cd-player is not leaving for the time being. Well my question is: Do you audiophiles recommend getting my SB3 modded by Red Wine Audio??? (or any other professional for that matter). What can I expect compared to my cd-player and my standard SB3? Is the difference reallt THAT significant? Thanks in advance. -- Ali-M ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ali-M's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5844 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24518 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
