Why do I need a CD player? Last week a buddy gave me four CDs from two recent gigs he and his band played. I came home and popped one in the CD player and was listening 30 seconds after walking through the door. It would have taken me a minimum of 10-15 minutes per CD to rip them, then do BMF to get them into my library in preparation to play through the Squeezebox. And it's not music I need or want in my library. In all likelihood I'll never listen to the shows again. And I have about 10 more discs of their shows on CD that I also don't need in my library.
Another friend came over today to listen to music and brought a dozen or so CDs with him.
