Just to put my comments in context. I work in a biology research lab as
a postdoc. We have a 7 TB (not a misprint) server (always online) in the
lab, and a ton of offline storage, as well. A typical experiment of mine
(time-lapse digital microscopy) takes up about 30 GB (again, not a
misprint) of storage. We have had many drives fail over the last couple
of years. You want to know what brand accounts for 100% of the failures?
It's not Seagate. I won't incriminate the guilty manufacturer.
