Robin is absolutely right but I seem to remember that there have been murmurs recently of setting up a House of Commons investigation into the whole music copyright situation in the UK because even they think the whole music copyright protection issue has gone too far.
It now appears that if you legally purchase downloaded music and load it on your MP3 player you are unable to legally sell or give this music away with the player given the obvious condition that you do not keep any copies yourself.
