has a ton of sample audio files demonstrating the effects of jitter,
distortion, low sampling rates, etc.  There's even a "trainer" for
learning how to hear these effects:

It's fun to play with, but you'll need an ABX comparator program; I use
foobar with the ABX plugin, or I think you can download another one from
that site.  

I found I could distinguish the "Difficult" selections in the "Training
Room" pretty easily only after listening to the more distorted samples
so as to know what exactly to listen for.  

Playing with this also shows yet again how absolutely essential blind
tests are - again and again I think I can hear a difference in the more
subtle samples, and am proved wrong by that pesky ABX.
