Hello all, my first posting here so apologies if this is a much-discussed topic.
I have so far only used my iTunes to play music on my iMac in my home office while I work and then I use my hi fi to listen to music in the evenings. I intend to get the SB3 so when I do I will re-rip my own CDs to Apple lossless but is it worth decompressing my downloaded files back to AIFF or will the extra hard disk space required not be justified by any improvment in sound quality? I have a mixture of downloaded AAC and MP3 files of between 192 and 320 kbps. My current system is a Naim Nait 3 and Royd Minstrel speakers as well as Rega Planet CD player, Rega 3 turntable. Thanks for any help. -- ianincornwall ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ianincornwall's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6306 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=25356 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
