Hi there, thanks for your time, I've now given up with the ReadyNAS as a streamer I just use it as a storage medium, it was too much hassle, I had to reboot everytime I did a rescan (and reset the SB sometimes !) , also while it was scanning it was impossible to go to the web interface to check anything - the browser just reported "page unavailable", maybe it's my setup but I don't think so - so far I'm very dissappointed with the RN as a streamer , maybe I'll have another go sometime but I seem to be spending all my time messing about with it instead of listening to music, my collection is only 2000 or so tracks - how long should this take ? regards System A very fast Pentium processor Linux Fedora Core 5 100 Mbps nic -> Linksys Hub -> Linksys Wireless Router -- pkfox When the going gets weird - the weird turn pro.
