I returned from work for a quick snack and was surprised to find that UPS had already delivered my package from TacT. I wasn't expecting it for a couple of days more so I am very excited.
The box was much heavier than I thought and the build quality seems excellent. After unpacking everything carefully, I did the basic setup. I connected my SB2 to the digital input of the TacT amplifier and plugged in my Dynaudios. Straight up, the sound from this digital amplifier is excellent, and I think holds the upper hand against my Cyrus DAC-X + Cyrus8 + PSX-R combo. I was itching to get started with the digital room correction part, but unfortunately none of my home computers have a serial port :(. I need to go back to work now. Fortunately its something equally exciting, so I'm not too unhappy. Also I think my work laptop has a serial port, else I am sure there are a bunch of USB to serial adapters lying around. I will report on the whole setup and listening experience once its done.
