Usually, that effect kicks in when the new product is a replacement for
the existing product. Since the SB3 and Transporter are so different, I
would not expect a problem. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the
opposite "trickle down" or "halo effect" were to happen. When a company
is making a high end product, sometimes people are more comfortable
buying a lower end product from the same company.
