congratulations for doing this comparisons seriously and gathering so
much equipment. 
But (there's always a but) i would make a little suggestion if you
intend to do this test again in the future, it's that you could use a
much diverse scope of records, i know some you chosed and they are well
recorded clean records but IMHO not too demanding. I suppose they are
familiar to you, which is the first condition for doing listening
comparisons. Personally, when i want to test a system, i pick good
clean records, but also diverse styles (classical, reggae-for the bass,
old blues-robert johnson, free jazz, opera,...), and nearly over the
edge records. My favourite is Albert King-truckload of lovin which can
be easily unbearable when something is wrong and acts as a magnifying
glass for harshness - maybe the most annoying avatar of mediocre
digital. Please don't take this as criticism, it's not, it's just a few
reflections inspired by your interesting post.
