I'll second the room correcton suggestion. The Behringer unit is excellent and I know a few extremely well-heeled audiophiles who use it. I had one, but I prefer analog controls and instead went with a Rane DEQ60L.
If you put some time into taking careful measurements from your listening position and then play with equalization a bit, you'll find that the changes you make will, in general, have a far greater impact than any change in electronics. Out of whack sound is still out of whack sound, no matter how transparent and excellent the electronics; get it within reason and you'll be happy. Of course, these is the TacT solution -- it's on the expensive side and there are those who swear by it and those who find it somewhat problematic. Z-Systems makes great stuff, too. Just a thought. -- highdudgeon SB3->Nuforce 9.02->Harbeth Monitor 30s/Skylan stands.
