I have no processing or equalisers turned on in Winamp. In the Winamp preferences, it states the sound output plugin being used is:
DirectSound output v2.44 (out_ds.dll) Also the input plugin being used is : Reference FLAC decoder v1.0beta6a (in_flac.dll) I don't know if these are the recommended settings but it sounds superb. Softsqueeze is simply poor by comparison, about the same as a 192 Kb/sec mp3 I would say. The difference is immediately obvious.
