I upgraded the power supply on my SB2 to a linear supply from Elpac, and all the sibilence and edginess went away. You might also want to take a look at getting a digital cable that is 1.5m long (if you are using one that is shorter than that, this should definitely help) and truly 75ohms (if your TaCT has a BNC digital input, getting a digital cable with a BNC connector on one side will help).
