OK - decision becoming harder! Would be great to find a solution that keeps everything simple with all controls in one place and still sounding great. The SB3 DAC has had good reviews elsewhere, maybe not upto a benchmark DAC for $1000, but probably OK for me. It looks like some have had good experiences with the direct feed into the power amp (even with some attenuators) but the high level of noise/interferance does not sound good. Was planning to just try it with the nuforce 9s which had been recommended before, but will now rethink based on comments above! Will keep looking Thanks everyone
