What makes you think an amount of current would flow through the RCAs normally that would be large enough compared to the currents inside the DAC? The interconnect interface is a voltage interface -meaning that the receiving component is expected to provide at least 10k ohm impedance. Not much current then. And it is not as if the internal DAC stops working because you haven't connected the external cables.. It will, in fact, work exactly the same -or there would be a serious design flaw in the product. -- P Floding ------------------------------------------------------------------------ P Floding's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2932 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26436 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
