I didn't realize until now that you were referring to the digital-only
mods. It is my impression that the SB3 is already a high-end transport.
While Patrick Dixon's measurements clearly show improvements, I would
think that the difference would not matter on a DAC that is reasonably
immune to transfer jitter. I'd be curious to know if anyone has
compared such a mod versus unmodded with different DACs.

I believe their primary function is re-distribution of wealth. ;-)

Btw, as the theme of this thread is redwine audio's SB upgrades
specifically, I should add that RWA does *not* make use of any bybee
filters, afaik.
