Totoro -- you have a very nice system indeed. To a large degree, of course, this is a subjective question. One persons's nuance is another person's revelation. Personally, I went though the Lavry DA10 and a Benchmark. I found the differences to be on the level of nuance -- when they were there at all. So, I ditched them, and am running the SB3 directly to my amps (I know, it's a no-non; we're moving abroad, so I've been dumping US power gear; I am going to buy a Transporter).
Anyway, here's my recommendation, in a nutshell: 1) deal with your room; 2) get measuring equipment and a decent EQ box (the Behringer 2496 is just fine) and deal with EQ. You wouldn't believe what a difference that makes, and 3) if you're still not happy, order the Transporter. You know the company, we know something about the guts, and it should be, DAC-wise, as good or better than a Lavry or anything else. totoro;131581 Wrote: > Thanks for the suggestions.
