Hi, I have two SB's, a 2 and one of Patrick's very nice + versions.
Some time back, I bought the Farnell power supply recommended to UK buyers on this forum. It worked perfectly without issue for nine months or so but recently developed problems. The SB2 it was powering stopped working although as I could see a red light through the spdif connector at the rear and the power supply itself gently hums if you put it to your ear, I assumed it was the SB rather than the supply. Anyway, after some help from the support guys at SD, very prompt so many thanks, I tried the original power supply and hey presto! So, no idea what went wrong with it but, perhaps a cautionary tale.
