I don't know about the newer Mordaunt-Short models, but my older MS-25i seems to be quite a difficult load for the amplifier. I drive them with a Rotel RA-935BX amp and that works really well. However, I once tried driving them with a newer Yamaha amp and that sounded just horrible even if the Yamaha was rated at more that double the power of the Rotel. (On a pair of easy-to-drive Infinity speakers the amps sounded much more similar). In addition to the Cambridge, I suggest you give the Rotel RA-04 a listen.
