Sorry to be unhelpful, but there is no audio review publication, online or otherwise, that could be considered either reliable or unbiased - flames welcome ;)
The only way is to listen for yourself. Forget A-B testing, solid diamond cables, jitter and distortion - just listen to whatever you can, find something that makes you be willing to kill for sound like that, and try to achieve that sound at home. Once you have really listened to some good kit (hi-fi shows are great for this), you start to get an idea of how your ears (and brain) work, and you may find reviewers who like the same kind of stuff. This needs a lot of time, but it's great fun :) If you don't believe me, try this experiment: play some music you like, and while playing, push your ears forwards, by 1/2 inch or so. Sounds weird, huh? Could you live with that sound? Me neither. Now try to find a reviewer with the same shape ears as you! Make sure you enjoy listening :) -- adamslim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ adamslim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7355 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27597 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
