That's exactly what the Endler attenuators are. I plug them directly
into my amp, and have not changed the attenuation level for months. You
don't need any extra cables or anything. FYI, here's a review:

Edit: I tend to agree with cbemoore, though. Just use the jumpers
inside the Transporter.
