I suggest connecting one of the digital outputs on your SBv3 to one of the digital inputs on the 540R_V2.0 receiver. I looked at the onine manual and it has a 2ch stereo mode that will avoid the surround sound processing. See the online manual and look at the sections that I have referenced for you below. http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/assets/documents/AP191181azur540RV2UsersManual.pdf Page 8 shows that button "5" selects a stereo mode for listening to standard 2ch stereo using analog or digital inputs and with or without a subwoofer. And the description for "6" mentions that an autodetect mode is also available on the 540R_V2.0 to automatically set itself for appropriate digital material. Page 12 describes functions on the remote and mentions the stereo mode. Page 14 dedicates a short paragraph to describing the stereo mode. Page 19 describes how to make use of the preamp output section in case you might prefer to continue using your Yamaha stereo amplifier to power the stereo main loudspeakers. Page 26 details how to select among sources and how to set various listening modes. -- JRT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JRT's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6084 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27623 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
