Hi SoftwireEngineer, I just use Big Ben as a clock source which Apogee claims to have jitter level below most measurement equipment threshold and also process a bell shape jitter distribution that they claim would be the most uninterrupted to music enjoyment. I have a complete digital setup, so never use the analog out of SB3. Previously, I use SB3 digital out to Big Ben (serve as dejitter device) then to Tact 2.2X (serve as room correction) then to bi-amps (Lyngdorf and Tact). I find the current setup of using Big Ben as master clock and output through coax digital of SB3 to Tact 2.2X directly give better sound. But this is my preference with my setup and I have a spare SB3 as back up so I don't mind trying the SB3 clock-in mod, which is very difficult to reverse. Your situation may be different.
