Sorry, I think there was a bit of a humour translation gap as this one
crossed the North Sea.  This forum (other threads) seems to have been
hijacked by people who think that measurement is all, when I really
think it's nothing - I think my (and your) ears are orders of magnitude
more accurate than whatever kit these people may choose to use, and so
my tongue was firmly in my cheek when I was making my comments :)

In general, it's best to assume that we Brits mean the exact opposite
of what we say, unless we want to retract it, of course, in which case
it was clearly far more insightful than we had originally intended.
