No prob. With a limited (or close-to-nil) budget, I'd prioritize finding a linear power supply, and getting some reasonably-priced cables to replace what comes with the Denon. I don't think too many people would disagree that the speaker cables that come with the HT receiver aren't going to cut it. Focus on the front L/R speaker cables as far as if you're going to spend a few dollars there, since that will probably be where your better speakers are and most of your 2-channel audio listening gets done. For the surrounds I'd just pick up some bulk Audioquest 14g at Best Buy or something similar. And again, it's probably worth doing the Home Depot electrical cable experiment, particularly given budget limitations.
And don't worry, before long you'll get upgraditis and you'll be selling anything that isn't nailed down to finance equipment upgrades and tweaks. As far as WAF, that too shall pass. Between good audio and a good woman, I've found it's much more difficult to put together a good audio system than to cycle through women! :-) (j/k) But, do get those front L/R speakers onto some stands and off the wall. Sleep on the couch for a few weeks if it comes to it. -- joncourage ------------------------------------------------------------------------ joncourage's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2837 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28529 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
