Can you separate the A/V gears from Audio only? If not, compromises
must be made:
-Provide clean 2 channel power amp for your B&W
-Provide clean Dolby Digital Pre for AV w/ bypass mode for 2 channel
Audio only listening (a way to just control volume, no surround
processing). These tend to be expensive i.e Lexicon etc.
-I recommend at least 200W/ch for B&W (I bi-amp my N802 w/ 2 Nakamichi
PA-7s, for total 400W/ch, quite an improvement from single amp)
-Experiment with speaker placement, I am happiest with them being 4
feet out from the rear wall, as measured to front baffles, voices
become fully fleshed out and rounded, full body sound, deep bass
improved as well, you may not need a sub!
-At their best placement fed with clean power, you will prefer it for
music over artificial surround sound system.
-Surround sound work great for movies, not so good for music.

Gone:
2 NHT 1259 subs, Paradigm active X-30 crossover, Nikko 200w/c bass amp
