Not knowing exactly the regulator topology of the Transporter, other
than it is "based on" Walt Jung's widely acclaimed (and copied)
designs, I was just wondering whether Slim Devices (or now Logitech)
pays any royalties to Mr. Jung. If not, why not? Are Jung regulators
considered public domain, or is the power supply design in the
Transporter significantly modified from his original designs? I read
recently that Jung does not allow any person or company to use his name
without his permission. I'm just curious what is the relationship here
between the two parties.
