People are making the assumption that Slim Devices will lose its identity in the purchace, and that the Squeezebox (and Transporter) will be rebranded with the Logitech logo, losing their "mystique," if nothing else.
I haven't read all the posts from Slim and Logitech, but I don't think its been made clear exactly how Sean and company will operate. They may continue as a "wholly-owned subsidiary," and basically function as-is. The boxes still may may sport a SlimDevices logo. One has to assume that Logitech would want to maximise sales, and if sales would slip with the loss of branding, why would they rebrand? -- jonheal Jon Heal says: Have a nice day! http://www.theheals.org/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jonheal's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2133 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28862 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
