I don't know that Lavry, but are you supposed to have XLRs for
unbalanced opreation? If so, perhaps the cable you are using is wired
so that the signal pin is not being used?

Check the cable's configuration -i.e what pin on the XLR side goes to
the RCAs mid pin, and compare with what XLR connector on the Lavry is
used for unbalanced operation.

(Unless the Lavry has RCAs for unbalanced operation, in which case you
need to use normal RCA to RCA interconnects, of course.)
