The spidf optical cable was better. I only have two optical inputs for my Lexicon DC-1 so I got a 1 meter digital calbe for the coax-replacing a 3 meter audio RCA cable. This has made a consdierable diference and the osund is now very close to my foobar via m-ausio and an optical spidf. Thanks for the suggestion
