At this time the Transporter does not resample audio data under any circumstances. The firmware architecture really never had resampling in mind. The SB3 will resample 88.2KHz and 96KHz content down to 44.1KHz and 48KHz, respectively.
I would suggest you check the wav file to make sure it really got all the way through your ripping process with its 96KHz sample rate intact. Does the file sound okay if you play it in Media Player? In a Windows Explorer window you can right-click on a wav file to get additional information. Select 'Properties', go to the 'Summary' tab, and click the 'Advanced' button. It should say there that your file is 24-bit 96KHz. If not, then somewhere in your ripping process the file was altered. If you DO have a file that Windows claims is 24-bit 96KHz and Media Player plays okay, but is only appearing on the Transporter digital outputs at a lesser resolution, please file a bug and attach as small an example file as you can find, and I'll have a look. It could be you've found a firmware bug! -- ChrisOwens Christopher Owens QA Manager [EMAIL PROTECTED] (650) 210-9400 x717 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ChrisOwens's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4240 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29059 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
