Umm, disagree...? I listen to a lot of live music (i.e. unamplified, direct from the instrument) and I find that my SET is genuinely accurate. It also measures surprisingly well, FWIW. I struggle to find transistor amps at any price that I would swap for, even if I could afford them. Some old valve amps are 'euphonic', but I think that's a hang-over from the 70s and earlier - modern valve kit is a different beast altogether. -- adamslim SB3 into Derek Shek d2, Shanling CDT-100, Rotel RT-990BX, Esoteric Audio Research 859, Living Voice Auditorium IIs, Nordost cables ------------------------------------------------------------------------ adamslim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7355 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30519 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
