I've read here you can get some loss of quality if the volume goes below 40. I have my SB going into a modded Ack Dack, and then into my Monarchy SM-70 Pro monoblocks. For normal listening levels the volume does not get above 20 and is usually lower.
I was thinking about getting some Endler attenuators so that I can run the volume closer to maxium on the SB. These attenuators come in both 11 and 24 step versions. Obviously I would prefer to spend $80 on the 11 step ones than $160 on the 24 step versions.
