Ironically, if I only had a few hundred CD's I probably woudn't bother to rip them coz it's easy to remember what you have and find what you need - but with over 2,000 I had no choice. Yes it took a long time but boy was it worth it!
Anyway, back on topic. Along while ago (april 05) I tried a dCS Elgar (borrowed from a wealthy friend) driven from my SB2 and it sounded great at the time - certainly better by a small margin than various top end spinners I had available (CD12, Wadia something - can't remember the model). Also tried a DAC64 which was V good. I'd like to hear the analogue output of a TP through my system - I would not be surprised if it sounded great.
