I completely agree with you re. the 750.00 PSU. I spent 2 weeks auditioning a modded SB2/PSU that sells for 2,500.00. It simply was not as good as the Transporter. Indeed, it wasn't much,if any, better than the stock Elpac/SB3. It would make far more sense, IMHO, to modify the TP if one wants to pursue that final bit of improvement.
