As far as I remember this kind of discussions leaded few engineers to try to measure it in their labs, I remember it from Audiogon times yet, and then there were more.
In short, all who actually tried it concluded that break-in in electronic circuits does exist, and parameters do change (capacitance for instance), but the changes were so subtle, so it never guarantees the change for being audible.
