Many Thanks for all the advice guys. I think i'll use my Marantz AMP to start me off while I continue to explore more 'discrete' the options such as another 2nd hand amp or active speakers.
I really like the look of the Audioengine 5 speakers but they don't seem to be available this side of the Atlantic. I look forward to more interaction with the community.
