Am I alone in thinking this is a pretty bizarre statement?

In order to listen to music in your proposed setup, you need to have a
TV switched on, and use a keyboard/mouse/PDA/whatever to control
iTunes.

Or you can leave the TV switched off, run Slimserver on the computer,
and use the Transporter remote.

I know which sounds more elegant and easy to use to me.

Performers -> dozens of mixers and effects -> clipped/hypercompressed
mastering -> you think a few extra ps of jitter matters?
