To the OP - I agree with Skunk; if you're running the output of the SB into a digital preamp, upgrades to the analogue path in the SB are pretty useless (since you'll almost certainly be better off sending a digital signal in to the pre).
One other thing to keep in mind is that the cost of these mods can sometimes exceed the cost of a new Transporter, but the Transporter has an extremely clean (very low jitter) digital out. I doubt any modded SB can compare. To Raja - has *anyone* conducted a double-blind test on the Bybees? Suppose I told you painting your house purple would make your system sound better.
