So we agree - SD wouldn't have anything to lose in sending it in, just as I said. It's unfortunate that what seems to be the only sustainable model for high-end audio publications also totally compromises their journalistic integrity. There have been audio magazines that took a different approach and published real reviews, but they've all gone out of business (AFAIK).
